An old linen sheet became 8 dishclothes

An old linen sheet became good dishclothes. I ironed it, and marked lines (double material). Using my overlock machine they where cut and sown in ten minutes. Using a sewing machine, you have to cut first and then cast over. By sewing and x diognally it will keep stable.

The "roving Moss Cardigan" from Jane Thornley is just lovely. It is just my way to mix colors, and I had a lot to choose about, so that was no problem. Now I have started with the first arm, and hope to be finished soon.

The viking farm Borg, Lofoten

This easter we were in Lofoten. Fantastic! This house is a copy of an old viking farm which was situated here around year 1000. Just beautiful to see in this surroundings.

I am one of the lucky ones joining She-knits mystery bag kal. This is the stash I have chosen. Blues is not my favorite, but it will be exciting to use. I have colored the grey and the green myself and hope for a good result.

Wintercoat

Let the winter begin. i fight the cold days in my new wintercoat. My own design, originally ment to be a sweater for my husband. But, now lucky me - my new coat is here to warm me.

This is made in relatively thick black wool plus a metallic, kopper like stash in three different shades. Pewter from Perl Grey.

An Ufo which has been waiting some years. Too big for a sweater, I think it must be a coat. Started yesterday and knitted 25 cm. Today I can feel it in my sholders, heavy work.

Scarf in Noro

The yarn is called Noro, Ganpi Abaka Tape. I don`t know what kind of fiber ganpi abaka is, 40 % Ganpi, 58 rayon, 2 nylon. Very special and dekorative.

Møsbrømslefse is a traditionally meal in the Salten-area. It is a thin lefse covered with a sause made of brown cheese - butter - and sour cream (rømme).

From sealevel we walked 660 m ritght up to Vasstind at Kvaløya. Wonderful wiew. I especially liked to see the Erfjord mountains.

With this sweater I won the competition designing a sweater for Steigen municipalicy. They wanted a design that expressed nature, culture and history and which could be used by women/men as well as children. I choosed a fiber in natural colors, "sheep-wool" colors, and colors that could have been made from local plants.
